Secular scientist and academic John Hands has been described as a 'polymath'. His 2016 book Cosmosapiens received wide praise for its analysis of human evolution since the beginning of the universe. His new book 'The Future of Humankind' looks ahead to what lies in store for homosapiens.
He discusses the issues with Christian thinker Perry Marshall, author of Evolution 2.0, as they discuss whether the dangers posed by AI, climate change or conflict are likely to lead to extinction, or whether we are due for a further development of human consciousness.

Peter Kreeft is a philosophy professor and well known Christian thinker and writer. He defends the "argument from desire". Does our experience of transcendent longing indicate that there is a God to satisfy it?
Atheist philosopher Richard Norman says that the argument amounts to wish-fulfillment.

To honour the passing of the great scientist and Christian educator Tom McLeish, we're replaying this show first broadcast in 2017.
David Hutchings is a physics teacher and prof Tom McLeish chaired the Royal Society’s education committee. Both Christians co-authored the book ‘Let there be Science: Why God Loves Science and Science needs God’ arguing that the Christian worldview has fuelled many of the greatest leaps forward in science.
Joining David and Tom was Suzie Sheehy, an accelerator physicist at Oxford University who is agnostic when it comes to religion. She argued that science doesn’t need God since it’s a fundamentally human activity.

Two different approaches to apologetics were debated in this classic show from the archives. K Scott Oliphint is Professor of Apologetics & Systematic Theology at Westminater Theological Seminary, PA. Kurt Jaros is the founder of www.realclearapologetics.com
Scott believes that the best apologetic method is to assume that Christianity is true and show why a non-Christian is suppressing that truth. Atheists presuppose the existence of God even to argue against Him. This approach is called presuppositional or covanental apologetics.
Kurt Jaros believes that method is flawed and argues for the primacy of Natural Theology (or evidential apologetics) in presenting the case for Christianity to non-believers.
